Changing the Tax Year Begins date

To display this screen:
Right click on one of the TYR buttons in the initial screen of the program Transaction Analyser - BS408
In this section:
The Tax Year Begins Date field
Referring to this screenshot - BS408S07-1
Enter the Start Date for your Tax Year
Normally, this date applies to ALL the databases opened.
i.e. if you set
the date when working with one database then open another database, this setting will be the same for the other database.
We shall refer to this as the Global Tax Year Begins date setting.
If you have multiple databases, you can over-ride the the Global setting.
We
shall refer to this as the Special Tax Year Begins data setting.
The Apply to this database ONLY checkbox

The NORMAL setting - for MOST users
When you first install
Bank Genie, this is unchecked by default.
When you leave this UN-CHECKED and Save Changes:
- the date will be applied to the Global Tax Year Begins date setting
IF (before editing) this database had a Special Tax Year Begins date setting

- The Special Tax Year Begins date setting setting will be removed from the database
CASE 2 - Checked

When you CHECK this checkbox and
Save Changes:
- The Special Tax Year data setting will be ADDED to the database currently opened
- This setting will then apply to the database currently opened ONLY
- When the database is accessed from another computer the setting will persist.
e.g.1. if database is on a network or shared folder or stored on an external portable
device
