Working with Investments
Screen BS431S09 - Get Prices
To display this screen:
Click on the GET PRICES
button in the initial screen (BS431S01) of program Investments-BS431
Then choose one of the From csv file
options
In this section:
Click this button and find a csv file with Prices.
Get Downloaded File

1. From:- Financial Times website
Set
up a Portfolio or a Watchlist.
Download Prices file as described for LSE below
2. From:- London Stock Exchange website
Set up a Portfolio or a Watchlist.
Click on Export to XLS

Save
the downloaded file and open it with Excel.
In Excel, choose Save as Type:- csv(Comma delimited) (*.csv) format

Simons method - using an Excel Addon
The csv file expected is normally created by saving an XLS file (saving as a csv file) created using an
Excel Addon which provides Security prices.
The program expects the file to have the following fields in this sequence:
1) Instrument (Optional - not used at
present)
2) Ticker (or Symbol)
3) Description (or name) or Security
4) Price
