Transferring Bank Genie to another computer
This section will be of interest to anyone who has bought a new computer and wishes to
transfer their Bank Genie data onto that new computer.
Follow these steps:
- To begin, you need your licence reset to allow you to use your original licence on a new computer.
James is in charge of a licence resetting service for
this type of case where you move to a new computer.

To get the correct download link, make sure you click the correct option to match the Bank Genie you have on your old
computer. e.g. Bank Genie 6 or Bank Genie Pro 6.
If you are OK and go ahead with that payment then please wait until James
responds.
He will send you an email when the reset is applied.
- When you make the payment in Step 1 you will receive an auto generated email which has a download link.
Click on the download link in that email and
download and install Bank Genie 6 or Bank Genie Pro 6 on your new computer.
- Make a folder on a Flash drive - call it (say) BGbackup.
In Bank Genie on your old computer, use the program File>Backup-BS491 program.
Use that to do
a backup to the BGbackup folder on the Flash drive.
