In this section:-
Bank Genie and Pay Day dates Pay dates are too
many and varied to be programmed into Bank Genie. Instead, you define your own pay dates, according to the rules laid down by your employer.
With this
solution, Bank Genie has no restrictions on the number of pay days per month or per year. Thus (e.g.) you can have regular or irregular payments, 2 paydays per
month, or one pay day per quarter etc
To demonstrate a typical application, we have set up Pay
Day dates for a Pay Day system used in the UK. The rules are quite simple: Pay Day is on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, pay day is the preceeding Friday.
Defining your own Pay Day dates In the initial
screen of the Transaction Analyser:- Right click on either the <P or the P>
button. Click Define Pay Dates in the Menu shortcut Screen BS408S09 appears Screenshot Use this screen to enter your pay dates.
Using screen BS408S09 to enter Pay Day dates
Using the <P and P> buttons in the Transaction Analyser program
When you click on the <P or P>
in screen BS408S01, the program uses two Pay Dates to arrive at the dates displayed. The From Date is the exact date of one of your Pay Dates The To Date is the date one day before the next Pay Date.
Tip - When adding Pay Day dates When adding Pay Dates in
BS408S09, add at least one pay date in advance of your current pay period to allow the current pay period to be calculated. Better still, set up as many periods
as possible in advance of the current date.
