About the program This program is used to free up disk
space on your computer by removing deleted records completely from the Bank Genie system.
Recommendations: Run this program once per week.
More info:- When you delete a record (e.g. a Bank Transaction, a Bank Account etc) the record is made invisible to the
user, but still occupies disk space until this PACK operation is run. The PACK operation can also reindexes files in your database.
Packing files when the Core database is open Before using this program
you should do a backup.

Step-1 The first step is to select a database to be packed. When the Core database is
open only one option appears in the pop-up
Check the date in the Last backup was done on
field.
We recommend you do a backup immediately before using this
program.. If backup was not taken, Exit the PACK program and do a backup (Use Program BS481 or BS491) Then
restart the PACK program
Click the Test and Continue button. If files are intact, Screen BS492S02 will appear. Click
the Re-Index
button to finish the exercise
Packing files when another database is open
You can open any Bank Genie Pro database using the program Open another database - BS426. When you start the PACK program the

The first step is to select a database to be packed. When another database is open you have two options in the pop-up as shown in the screenshot Select
a database to be packed.
Check the date in the Last backup was done on field.
We recommend you do a backup immediately before using this program.. If backup was not
taken, Exit the PACK program and do a backup (Use Program BS481 or BS491) Then restart the
PACK program
Click the Test and Continue button. If files are intact, Screen
BS492S02 will appear. Click the Re-Index
button to finish the exercise
