Starting the program On the Main Menu, click the Security
tab then click: Security Names - BS414 The initial screen BS414S01 appears and shows a list of any Security Names which you have already added (if any) Screenshot
In this section
About the program This program is used to add names of
others who require access to Bank Accounts AFTER Password Security has been set ON The
initial screen
The term given to names added using this program is Security Names, as opposed to User names. Read more about User Names and Security Names
Security Names
are ignored when password protection is OFF. When you install Bank Genie, initially, anyone who starts Bank Genie will have full permissions to view, add, edit
and delete transactions.
For personal use, most users do NOT activate Password Protection.
If you do not need Password Protection for Bank Genie on
your computer, then you do not need to read this section.
About the system administrator
When you first install Bank Genie there is only one User Profile: User Name: Admin Password : admin
Passwords are not case sensitive in Bank
Genie (to avoid issues when users have accidentally touched the Caps Lock button)
The System Administrator profile is protected as a database record. The
system will not allow you to delete this record.
However, you can change both the User Name and the Password.
We recommend that you do not change the
User Name of this record. We recommend that you DO change the password, but not until you are fully competent in using Bank Genie in Password Protection
mode.
What happens if I forget the System Administrator password?
Contact us at ideasforgardens.com We will send you an email with a link to rescue the situation. The rescue Pack download will set Password Protections
OFF and reset the administrator password to default (see above) Other User profiles, passwords and permissions will NOT be affected by this rescue
program.
